An Interdisciplinary approach to using Oral History: an illustrated talk by Professor Rachel Lichtenstein
In this talk Rachel Lichtenstein shares some of the stories collated and methodologies used for recent projects exploring Lost Jewish London and Manchester, vanished European Yiddish landscapes and living East End memories of the mythical Yiddish poet A.N. Stencl. Drawing on her Memory Map projects, her forthcoming book The Prince of Whitechapel, and the international Stencl Digital Archive Project, Lichtenstein reveals how stories can survive in unexpected places and how to best preserve then share them in accessible formats.
