Audio Editing Training
We deliver in person and online audio editing training for oral history interviews
We can organise audio editing training on an individual or group basis. An OHS/British Library accredited trainer will work with you to assess your needs and agree a training programme.
What does audio editing training cover?
Topics could include:
- An introduction to the principles of digital editing for oral history interviews
- Basic and/or creative editing techniques
- Audio montage
- Preparing sound clips for use in exhibitions and online
This is an online course delivered via Zoom video call.
How much does audio editing training cost?
The training can be organised on an individual or group basis. We offer a discount on tailored training courses for organisations/projects that hold a Group Membership with the Oral History Society.
Audio editing training for individuals (half day, online only)
The basic cost for a half-day online course for an individual, is:

Expenses
The trainer’s expenses will be added to these costs. Expenses usually include travel and accommodation if this is needed.
Please note
Each participant will need access to a computer with the chosen audio editing software installed and licensed on it.

Cancellation policy
As a courtesy to our trainers, many of whom are freelancers, if a training day is cancelled with less than a week’s notice the organiser/project is to pay the trainer the full day fee plus any pre-booked travel expenses.
