Since its origins over 50 years ago, the Oral History Society has depended for its success on the unpaid efforts of hundreds of volunteers.
They act tirelessly as trustees, committee members, editors, regional advisers and Special Interest Group officers.
None are paid and all give considerable amounts of time and energy to make the Society what is today: a well-regarded organisation supporting oral history across the UK and worldwide.
Your donation to the OHS Future Fund will help support our volunteers by
- offering them training and skills development
- enabling them to come together more often to share knowledge
- allowing more of them to attend conferences and other events.
Help us ensure that our volunteers are properly recognised and developed so that we can build a sustainable future for the Society and continue to offer value-for-money, best-practice support for our members for the next fifty years.

All donations to the OHS Future Fund will be ring-fenced to support all our volunteers across the Society and across the UK, providing funds which the Society cannot otherwise currently afford from its core running costs.
