Archives SIG July 2026 Meeting

The July meeting of the OHS Archives and Oral History Special Interest Group will be taking place next Wednesday, 8th July at 6:00pm.

Angela Zusman, the Executive Director of Story For All, will be opening a discussion on how oral historians, archivists and other storytellers around the world approach ethical challenges in their work.

We’ll be discussing:
– What ethical considerations do you face in your day-to-day work as an oral historian/archivist?
– Any specific ethical challenges/case studies you are dealing with or can share about, resolved or unresolved
– How could ethical guidelines support our field? In such a case, what guidelines would be most important to you and those you serve? How would those guidelines best be disseminated?
– Have ethical considerations changed at all over time? What is most relevant to you now?
– Who else should Angela be talking to about this topic?
