Learning to Listen: The Many Voices of Transition Town Wellington
7pm-8.30pm. 4th November 2026. Online.
Transition Town Wellington (TTW) is part of an international environmental movement focusing on grassroots, community-led transformation away from fossil fuels and towards a more sustainable future. TTW is based in a small town on the Somerset border, and the group here has had a significant impact on the town and its people over the past two decades. https://ttw.org.uk/
TTW’s oral history project collected the stories of 26 people, focusing on the impact of TTW’s work on their own lives, and on the changes they have witnessed in community and the place. TTW’s Chair, Anita Roy, and professional photographer, Anita Corbin, will talk about the project, the people involved, the stories they gathered, and the ups and downs of this remarkable journey.
This OHS event is open to all.
